Program Overview

The Bachelor’s degree program in Transportation Design offers a comprehensive overview of the intricate field of automotive design. This program delves into the multifaceted aspects of designing automobiles, encompassing considerations related to the vehicle’s function, market positioning, production, distribution, promotion, pricing, safety, ergonomics, and environmental sustainability.

This program equips students to shape the automobile in all its visible facets, meticulously addressing the outer body’s form and style, as well as designing the interiors, including the dashboard, seating arrangements, cabin interiors, and storage spaces.

    2. Safety mechanisms and aerodynamics
  • Industry Visits & Expert Interactions – Explore four major car brands in Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad, engaging with their chief designers
  • Tier-1 Supplier Insights – Hands-on exposure to material suppliers and manufacturing processes
  • Specialization Tracks:
    1. Exterior Design – Supercars, hatchbacks, MPVs
    2. Interior Design – SUVs, MPVs, limousines
  • AI in Automotive Design – Leveraging AI for generative design, automation, and predictive modeling in vehicle development
  • The Real-World Vehicle Project – Work on a commissioned vehicle’s interior or exterior, collaborating with real clients
  • Pre-Development (18 months prior) – Scan data analysis and mock-ups
  • On-Site Implementation – Vehicles will undergo a six-month transformation, resulting in a fully realized, functional prototype
