The School of Design organized an engaging two-hour design workshop titled “The Art of Surface Printing,” specifically designed for 11th and 12th-grade students at Millennium School in Warje. This insightful workshop, led by esteemed faculty members Prof. Dure Shehwar Mohibi and Prof. Pearl Lobo, both recognized experts in Fashion Design, aimed to provide hands-on experience and practical insights into surface printing techniques.
The workshop’s hands-on segment was a highlight for students as they experimented with various shapes and their connections to elements found in nature. This interactive approach not only fostered creativity but also allowed students to explore the intricacies of surface printing in a tangible and meaningful way.
In a creative culmination to the workshop, students actively participated in printing designs on Muslin Tote Bags. This final activity served as a canvas for them to display their newfound skills and artistic expressions, providing a tangible representation of their journey throughout the workshop. The event not only enriched the students’ understanding of surface printing but also underscored the School of Design’s dedication to fostering practical skills and creativity in the next generation of designers.
