Prints and Methods Workshop

Assistant Professor Shehwar Mohibi led a transformative workshop on Prints and Methods for Product Design at the Singing Line Design Institute in Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, as part of the Design and Art Workshop Series. The aim of this series was to instill design awareness among young, aspiring students, particularly those gearing up for design education. To accomplish this, the School of Design strategically targeted design studios and coaching classes across Maharashtra and neighboring states, deploying its faculty members to conduct specialized workshops in diverse locations.

During this specific event, Prof. Shehwar Mohibi delved into the expressive potential of geometric shapes, such as circles, squares, and triangles. The workshop empowered students to craft designs by arranging these shapes and utilizing stencils for fabric printing. Prof. Mohibi, through a meticulous step-by-step demonstration, shared insights into color theory, shape arrangements, printing techniques, and more. The interactive nature of the workshop enabled students to unleash their creativity, designing and printing their unique patterns on fabric tote bags. This hands-on experience not only enriched their understanding of design principles but also provided a practical avenue for self-expression and skill development.
